Postgraduate Diploma in Regenerative Agriculture Systems
One year, part-time: soil biology, cover cropping, grazing systems and the measurement that proves regeneration is not just a story.
Overview
Regeneration that cannot be measured is just a marketing claim.
This programme is for graduates and working professionals who are being asked to make regenerative practice real on a commercial farm. It combines soil biology and ecology with the harder discipline of measurement: what to sample, how often, and how to defend a result to a bank or a buyer.
Teaching runs in four residential blocks of one week each, with guided fieldwork between blocks on your own farm or a host farm. You will design and run a monitored transition plan for a real enterprise, including the economics, the risk, and the honest timeline before soil indicators move.
- Soil biology, carbon cycling and aggregate stability
- Cover crop and diverse rotation design for the Western Cape
- Grazing management and integrated livestock systems
- Monitoring protocols and soil health benchmarking
- Transition economics, risk and certification schemes
